Today is my first Saturday at Georgia Tech. (Last Saturday I went home for a wedding.) Saturdays here are pretty still, if you ask me. No one’s out and about; everyone’s too hungover from Friday’s party to leave his or her dorm. In a way, it’s kind of nice—everything is nice and quiet, and the whole campus seems less stressful. But in another way, it’s kind of dull. There’s nothing to do.The highlight of my day was the picnic. Two friends and I thought it’d be a good idea to have a picnic in the middle of the Klaus building. It was very nice: the building provided the right amount of shade; there was a gentle breeze, and there were very few people walking around. The only negative was the amount of mosquitoes around us.
